Britney Spears has been ordered to pay the majority of her ex-husband's legal fees in the couple's custody dispute.The American pop star has been told to pay $120,000 (€82,008) in legal fees to Kevin Federline, the father of her two young sons.
Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered the singer to stump up a large chunk of the $154,500 (€105,586) in legal fees that Federline owes to his attorney, according to court papers filed yesterday.
Gordon made the decision after considering several factors, including "the notable disparity between the parties' income", the ruling said.
A call requesting comment from Spears' attorney was not immediately returned.
Court papers released last week show that Spears makes roughly $737,000 (€503,672) per month and spends lavishly on clothes and entertainment.
Meanwhile, Federline "indicates that he does not earn any income", the ruling said.
Federline, who has temporary custody of two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James, receives $15,000 (€10,251) per month in child support and $20,000 (€13,668) in financial support from Spears.
The support from Spears is to end on November 15.
